Congratulations on your child being accepted to Mount Vernon Middle School for the upcoming 2009-2010 school year.  The school theme for 2009-2010 is "Making Connections".  The Standards of Learning scores are anticipated to be 70 percent and higher in all academic areas. Also, Mount Vernon Middle continues to offer Boy's basketball, and allowance of students to participate in athletics at his/her home school per academic and Code of Conduct requirements.
