This year FMS will be starting a new anti-bullying program called Rachel's Challenge.  The objectives of Rachel's Challenge are to:

• Create a safe learning environment for all students by re-establishing civility and delivering proactive antidotes to school violence and bullying.
• Improve academic achievement by engaging students' hearts, heads and hands in the learning process.
• Provide students with social/emotional education that is both colorblind and culturally relevant.
• Train adults to inspire, equip and empower students to affect permanent positive change.

We are excited about this new program and have 2 kickoff dates to share.  September 19 will be the kickoff assembly for our students and September 22 at 7:00 pm we will host a community kickoff and information session at FMS.  We would love to see you there.  Check out www.rachelschallenge.com for more information.
