School Resource Officers are, first of all, sworn law enforcement officers. Their central mission is to keep order on campus with the legal authority to arrest if necessary. Order is necessary for learning to occur. When necessary, the School Resource Officer has the ability to intervene as a law enforcement officer. The SRO’s other roles include law related educator, community liaison, and positive role model.

Mrs. Dawn Rogers

The School Safety Administrator designates, organizes, supervises and trains the Safety & Crisis Team. Safety administrators provide support and guidance to the Safety Chair and Safety Committee as well as ensure that all school personnel and students participate in emergency training and exercise activities

School Security Officers are responsible for directing traffic and/or parking activities and act to prevent theft and property damage.  They often monitor and regulate student behavior on campus, restrooms and other open locations and acts to deter student loitering.  School Security Officers are also responsible for the coordination and monitoring of the electronic safety tip-line.

The Safety Chair-Person is a faculty member responsible for assuring that the building/campus is thoroughly assessed on a monthly basis, conducting monthly safety meetings and reporting status to the faculty and staff.  The safety chair-person also meets regularly with essential staff to assess safety conditions and develop solutions for identified challenges.
