About
The Center for Engineering is a rigorous pre-engineering program that prepares high school students for a college engineering program. Engineering courses and engineering focused math and science classes develop students' skills in general engineering fields. Three dual-enrollment classes provide students an opportunity to obtain several college level engineering credits before graduating high school.
Students can choose from a wide variety of extracurricular activities including FIRST Robotics and Technology Student Association. All sports and extracurricular activities are through Highland Springs High School, not the student's home school.
Scholarships are offered to many students that graduate from the center. In fact, students are offered an average of $64,000 for a center total of $4 million over the last four years.
The Center for Engineering is a rewarding program that has much to offer for students interested in math and science. Please contact Billy Batkins for more information about the program or application process.
