Principal's Message

Welcome to Chamberlayne Elementary School, home of the Bobcats! We are so happy that you have chosen to visit our website.
I am excited to be the principal of a school where teachers are committed to academic excellence and parents play an important role in the success of the school. Chamberlayne has a population of approximately 450 students in kindergarten through fifth grade. We welcome your visits to our beautiful campus. Please be sure to stop by the office to receive a visitor’s pass each time you enter the campus.
We believe in a positive school climate and a nurturing environment in which our children can become contributing citizens in a global society. We will continue to focus on being good stewards of our planet and taking care of our environment. “Go Green” was our theme last year.
This year our theme is “License to Learn.” The teachers have planned creative and engaging ways in which students can earn permits and licenses as incentives for completing certain tasks. If you visit Chamberlayne, you will see this theme depicted throughout the campus.
We are proud to be a part of Henrico County Public Schools. The mission of HCPS is to be an innovative leader in educational excellence providing students with 21st century skills. Last year’s school stakeholder survey asked how our community felt about their school. I would be pleased to share these overwhelmingly positive results with you at any time.
