Moody 8th grader Maurice Goode was invited to football's National Underclassmen 100 in Atlanta based on his results at the National Underclassmen Combine at HSHS.

The undefeated Godwin High School boys' soccer team is ranked no. 2 in the POWERADE Fab 50 Boys' Soccer Rankings

Maybeury Elementary qualified for the National Rubik's Cube Competition in Washington DC .

Eighth grader Kevin Zhan of Moody Middle won the state geography bee on Friday, March 20th in Winchester, VA. He will go on to compete at the national level in May.

Priya Verma, a 7th grader at Moody Middle, won the middle school category for the African American Trailblazers Essay Contest. Her essay appeared in the Times-Dispatch.

Second-grader Riley Spoenlein and fourth-grader TaylorPounders of Tuckahoe Elementary School won poster contests with the Richmond Baseball Team, The Flying Squirrels. The girls’ artwork will be on display all season at the diamond.

Team Blue Cheese from Deep Run High School's FTC Jr. Varsity team, Team 93, won the PTC Design Award at the State Championships and their FRC Varsity team, Team 1086,  won the Entrepreneurship Award and the Industrial Design Award  at the regional tournament.

Rob Blankenship of Freeman High had his music composition chosen by the Longwood University Lancers as their new "FIGHT SONG!"

Deep Run's Air Force JROTC was one of 16 teams to qualify to advance to the 2012 Air Force JROTC Academic Bowl Championship at George Mason University.
