SUMMER FUN! - The Department of Exceptional Education recognizes that summer can present a significant challenge to our students with disabilities and their families. In an effort to support our parent partners, we have worked to create a resource notifying parents of summer camps, programs and opportunities for students with disabilities and their families. These options range from specialized classes to typical summer camps that accept students with disabilities and provide additional support. Please be advised that HCPS does not endorse any program or facility, and that it is the responsibility of the family to review any program or camp for appropriateness prior to enrolling their child. Should you know of any summer opportunity that welcomes students with disabilities, please notify me at bsgibson@henrico.k12.va.us, and we will post the information for other parents.
